(**Read in my best news anchor voice for dramatic effect…*) We want to be prepared for the unexpected. We want to know that when we have to be ballpark warriors and sit in scorching heat for 10 hours a day during baseball season that we are equipped with everything we need to make that day go seamless. We are Baseball Moms. 😉 So….the question is. Now that you have your Baseball Mom Bag. What do you keep in your bag? Today we will investigate the inner depths of the mom bag and give you some important, yet crucial, ideas for what to keep in your baseball mom bag.
What to keep in your Baseball Mom Bag
In all seriousness, we all know that one mom that is just the bomb at having everything under the sun with her at all times. She’s your go to for that random thing that you forgot. Last month we shared our favorite Baseball Mom Bags…and boy there are a lot of options. This month we’re delving deep into that bag and getting stocked up for the months ahead.
So let’s be prepared and try to come up with our best list to be prepared for the upcoming baseball season with this all inclusive list of….
Baseball Mom Bag Must Haves
This list is tried, true, and tested from research from dozens of Baseball Mom Groups on Facebook where moms all ask this same question! I’m so proud of all you mommas who want to be prepared for a fun filled and busy season ahead.
Here’s the suggestions for things you might consider from the threads (the list is long and no one, including me, expects that a mom should carry ALL this in her bag! LOL):
- Sunscreen
- First Aid Kit (could even just keep in your car)
- Baby Wipes / Flushable Wipes
- Deodorant
- Water Bottle
- Snacks (Protein bars, almonds, Twizzlers, etc)
- Bug Spray
- Extra Shoelaces (I want to know more about this suggestion!)
- Tampons (for you and for bloody noses)
- Electrolyte Tablets / Liquid IV
- Extra Face Masks
- Chapstick
- Pens, pencil, sharpie
- Cash (so important for tournaments)
- Small Umbrella
- Hand Sanitizer
- Blanket
- Ice Packs
- Ziploc Baggies
- Ibprofen
- Allergy Medications
- Cooling Towels
- Hand Warmers
- Small Handheld Fan
- Rechargeable Phone/Tablet Chargers (must have for long weekends with siblings or when your phone dies from GameChanger being on all weekend!)
- Bandaids
- Gum
- Safety Pins
- Pickles/Pickle Juice (Great for side cramps)
- Pony Tail Holders
- Sunglasses
- Hard Candy
- Towel (maybe not in your bag, but in the car)
- Grocery Bags (for trash)
- Wallet/Phone Holder Clutch Combination (great for just getting up quickly and running to a concession stand)
Seems like a lot, huh?! Well, ladies, you don’t have to include all of it in your bag…or any of it really. Maybe create your “main” bag and then a bag that you keep in the car for emergencies with your essentials. I will say that after last year and the weather issues we encountered, I do intend to be prepared for every single season all available from the back of my SUV–blankets, towels, fans, cooling towels…you name it. There’s nothing worse then getting caught at the field when the temp drops to 45 degrees!!
I’m curious, what are YOUR must haves for your baseball bag? Did I leave something off? Drop it in the comments and I’ll get it added!

What a great list! This upcoming baseball season will be my 3rd as a baseball mom and I also seem to forget something, so I am thankful I found your post! I would also like to ask about your blanket in the photo… did you buy it or make it? I want one! =0) THanks again for your wonderful post!
I made it 🙂 I almost did a post about how to make it, but honestly…it was more hassle than it was worth. LOL Thanks for reaching out!
