Baseball Oreo Truffles Recipe
How to Make Oreo Balls: Baseball Themed
Here’s what you need for this baseball themed dessert idea:
- 36 Original Oreos
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
- White chocolate and red chocolate for melting
Optional:
- Food processor to chop up the Oreos quickly and combine with cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon cookie scoop
- chocolate bottle to draw lines on Oreo Balls
You start by placing your Oreos in the food processor and grinding them until they are a fine crumble. **Be sure to only use regular stuffed Oreos and not double stuffed.
Once they are ground up, add one bar of cream cheese and blend until it’s a nice chocolate consistency.
Using a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop out the mixture into balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Once all scooped, place in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to firm up.
Next step is to melt your white chocolate in the microwave, stirring regularly, to ensure it doesn’t overcook. Pull your Oreo balls out of the fridge and use your hands to roll them into round balls. Dip the balls into white chocolate and place back on parchment paper to firm up.
The final step is to melt your red chocolate and place it in a chocolate bottle so you can draw baseball lines on the Oreo balls.
And once you’ve drawn the lines on the Oreo Truffles, then you can enjoy!
And I wouldn’t be a good blogger if I didn’t share a shot of what the delicious inside looked like….
